The branch sizes the machine
They recommend the machine and attachments that fit the job and the access, not the biggest one in the yard.
You get a written quote
The quote states the rate and exactly what it covers — delivery, operator, fuel and insurance are spelled out, not assumed.
Delivery from that branch
Once you accept, the machine is dispatched from the branch’s own yard and collected when the job is done.

What does MCM Rentals do?
MCM Rentals hires out heavy equipment — TLBs, excavators, front-end loaders, forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers and rollers — to construction, farming, mining and logistics businesses in South Africa. It is the plant-hire division of MCM Group, which has manufactured and distributed heavy equipment in South Africa since 2008.
How much does it cost to hire heavy equipment?
Rates start from R3,500 per day, R18,000 per week and R55,000 per month, per machine. Each branch sets its own rates, and the rate for your job depends on the machine, its size and how long you need it. The written quote from your branch sets out exactly what is included, such as delivery, an operator, fuel and insurance.
How do I hire a machine?
Choose the MCM Sales & Rentals branch nearest your site, then phone, WhatsApp or send that branch a quote request. Tell them the job, the site location and how long you need the machine. The branch recommends a machine from its own fleet, sends a written quote, and arranges delivery once you accept.
Where do you deliver?
Machines are dispatched from four branches, each with its own fleet: Cape Town, George, Bloemfontein and Midrand. Delivery is quoted per site by the branch, so give the site address when you ask for a quote.
Is it better to hire or buy?
Hire when the work is short-term, seasonal or uncertain, or when you would rather keep capital in the business. Buying makes sense when a machine will work most days for years. MCM Group sells the same machines we hire out, so if a hire turns into a long-term need you can talk to the same team about buying.
Do all branches hire the same machines at the same rates?
No. Each branch runs its own hire fleet, so the machines on offer, the rates and what is available today differ between Cape Town, George, Bloemfontein and Midrand. Each branch page lists its own fleet, rates and availability.
Can I hire more than one machine?
Yes. Choose “Multiple / Fleet Rental” on the quote form and list what you need. Fleet and long-term hire are quoted as a package.
